A call for a new war on poverty. For reference, America’s “war on (subject)” has a bad history of flopping, and LBJ’s War on Poverty didn’t do much better. But today we have better insight on the real causes of generational and repetitive poverty. Unfortunately most of the policies that need to be enacted are ferociously fought because of this abstract liberalism that seems to have engulfed the American consciousness. Truth be told, fixing poverty is one of the first steps to stabilizing and invigorating our economy.
